The MA 2Port Node onPC is the latest member of the grandMA family and supplements MA Lighting’s product range for networking and integrated system solutions. Together with the free "GrandMA onPC" Software you receive a complete 512 channel DMX software based on the GrandMA,... for a very cheap price!
They address amongst others the need of theatres and rental companies to flexibly distribute DMX on stage or in rigs. If used standalone with grandMA onPC the 2Port Node onPC outputs also 512 parameters of DMX (1,024 parameters as 2Port Node onPC PRO) and becomes a powerful show controller for smaller applications. Also handy backup solutions become possible for reduced budgets. The “onPC” versions are available with integrated power supply, but they will also run with power over Ethernet, and thread to put a coupler as well as a safety connection point.
Two green LEDs will indicate if DMX traffic is generated. Both, DMX LEDs and Backlight, can be switched off remotely. The ‘Finder Functionality’ will give you an elegant solution and way of working - the console can indicate a chosen node by flashing the backlight, but also a button press on the MA 2Port Node onPC will indicate the chosen one in the console. With the 2Port Node onPC MA Lighting fulfils the need of Lighting Designers, Programmers and Operators to offer an additional tool within the grandMA family.
All MA 2Port Nodes onPC are fully integrated into the grandMA family. That means easy, comfortable configuration incl. in/out assignment of each node from any grandMA console or onPC. It’s also possible to use the nodes with other systems, because they speak MA-Net and Art-Net, both 100 Mbit/s, which can be chosen remotely.
GrandMA on PC Software
GrandMA onPC is a consequent enhancement of the offline-editor and a powerfull tool for light-designers and operators who can use it for live-control.
The onPC software in not just a PC-emulation of a complete grandMA desk for editing and of showdata, it can be used in connection with NSPs (network signal processor) for the live control of up to 4.096 parameters. The software is compatible with Windows® 2000 or XP and reads / writes showdata in the same format as the grandMA consoles. The operation and the display are exactly the same as for the consoles, so there is no need to learn a new software.
Together with the visualization software grandMA 3D, grandMA onPC becomes a whole design studio that can be used for preprogramming of whole shows without the use of real consoles.
Additionally grandMA onPC can be connected to other grandMA consoles (except grandMA micro) or the grandMA replay unit via ethernet for Multi-User-operation. By the use of this connection showfiles of the consoles can be read and archived. The new Multi-User-Systems allows onPC to become a fully-fledged controller for the programming of bigger shows or just a very comfortable designer-remote control with all displays of the main-console.
